WTCKL Grabs ‘Best Convention And Exhibition Centre’ Award At TIA 2024


KUALA LUMPUR, The World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) won the “Best Convention and Exhibition Centre” award at the Tourism Industry Awards (TIA) 2024 held here on Friday (July 26).

Its group managing director, Datuk Seri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim said the achievement shows WTCKL’s commitment to excellence according to global benchmarks in providing exceptional space and services for various types of events.

“We are determined to continue to innovate and raise industry standards by ensuring each event held at WTCKL has a high impact,” he said in a statement today, adding that this excellence proves the hard work and dedication of his team as well as the strong support from all industry players.

He said the award will also enable WTCKL to thrive and be competitive in spurring growth in the industrial business sector, particularly in promoting the Muslim tourism segment, thus making Malaysia continue to be known as one of the tourism hubs at the international level.

TIA 2024, organised by the Malaysia Intern
ational Tourism Development Association (MiTDA), together with Santai travel magazine and the Malaysia Fashion Modelling Pageant Association (MFMPA), aims to recognise organisations and individuals who have made significant contributions to the country’s tourism industry.

The programme was officiated by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh. The ‘Best Convention and Exhibition Centre Award’ was presented by Tourism Malaysia deputy chairman Datuk Yeoh Soon Hin.
