ULTRAZ LEAGUE INTRODUCES SUPER BOWL FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP

ALOR SETAR, A jersey manufacturer has taken the initiative to organise a more attractive futsal competition platform for the youth in this state in format of the Super Bowl held in the United States.

According to Ultraz brand manager Muhammad Addin Naza Ramli, the organisation of the competition started in several futsal centres in the state from June 14, where the team that became the champion and runner-up at the futsal centre level will enter the ‘grand final’ round.

“Although this tournament only involves young people from the local community around Kedah, we want it to be seen as a big tournament.

“We want young people in Kedah to feel that there is a platform for them to play futsal seriously in the form of a competition instead of just playing to fill their free time,” he said when met here last night.

He said, in order to liven up the atmosphere or ‘vibes’ of the tournament, the organisers also presented a band performance from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultanah Asma to entertain the audience.

A
ccording to Muhammad Addin, the overall prizes exceeding RM5,000 is also one of the attractions for the team to participate in the tournament in addition to giving free jerseys to the players.

In the final match of the grand final held at a futsal centre here last night, the AA Apparel team emerged champions by beating Tandop FC 4-3 via penalty kicks after a 0-0 draw in regular time.
