U MOBILE TO COLLABORATE WITH FGV TO ENHANCE CONNECTIVITY, DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE


KUALA LUMPUR, U Mobile Sdn Bhd has inked a memorandum of collaboration (MoC) with FGV Holdings Bhd’s subsidiary FGV Prodata Systems Sdn Bhd to enhance FGV Group’s connectivity and digital infrastructure as part of its business transformation objectives.

The mobile and digital services provider said in a joint statement today that the partnership would see U Mobile’s modern, scalable and 5G-capable infrastructure support cutting-edge enterprise solutions like managed network services for FGV Group and its stakeholders’ operations.

“The MoC would also see both parties co-creating and deploying innovative digital platforms and solutions like smart agriculture, smart building and smart surveillance which would enable FGV Group and its stakeholders to reap the benefits of automation and digitalisation, such as increased efficiencies and savings on operational costs,” it said.

FGV Group chief executive officer Datuk Nazrul Mansor said FGV, through its subsidiary FGV Prodata Systems, aimed to enrich its informat
ion and communications technology (ICT) services with high-speed Internet, dependable network solutions and enhanced communication channels.

He said the partnership would additionally prioritise the development and management of cutting-edge digital infrastructure, crucial for supporting business digital transformation initiatives for FGV.

“This would enable FGV to maintain its leadership in the global palm oil industry while sustainably contributing positively to Malaysia’s economic and social development goals,” he said.
