Tekun Nasional’s Jalinan Kasih Merdeka Convoy to unite communities, assist the needy

The National Entrepreneurial Group Economic Fund (Tekun Nasional), through the Welfare, Sports, and Recreation Club (Kesura), will organise the 2024 Jalinan Kasih Merdeka Convoy, aimed not only at celebrating independence but also at uniting communities in efforts to assist those in need.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (Kuskop) today, Tekun Nasional chairman Datuk Abdullah Sani said the motorcycle convoy would traverse several states, including Pahang, Kelantan, and Terengganu.

“This convoy is not just to ignite the spirit of independence but also to deliver aid to Tekun Nasional employees who are ill, affected by misfortunes, or less fortunate.

“In addition, in conjunction with the National Day, Tekun Nasional will organise a Fly the Jalur Gemilang Competition, open to all state offices, branches, and departments at Tekun Nasional’s headquarters, to fuel the patriotic spirit among staff,” he said.

Earlier today, to foster the spirit of independence wit
h the theme ‘Jiwa Merdeka’ among its staff, Tekun Nasional launched the Jalinan Kasih Merdeka celebration at its headquarters in Bandar Tasik Selatan, here.

At the event, Malaysian flags were also handed over to all staff at the headquarters, as well as in Selangor and the Federal Territories, as a symbolic gesture of the “1 House, 1 Jalur Gemilang” campaign in conjunction with the National Month.

“Staff are encouraged to fly the Malaysian flag at their homes to enliven the National Month. The flying of the flag should be seen as a sign of love for the country and as an appreciation for the sacrifices of those who fought for the freedom and sovereignty of this nation,” he said.
