Team RSYC To Carry Malaysia’s Challenge In Beihai, China


KUALA LUMPUR, The Royal Selangor Yacht Club (RSYC) will carry Malaysia’s challenge in the 2024 Belt and Road International Regatta in Beihai, China from Oct 10-12.

The RSYC said in a statement that the team will be led by skipper Rizal Mahadi Sazili, better known as Tom, and he will be assisted by bowman Muhammad Syafiq A. Rahim.

The other crew members are trimmers Muhamad Faaiz Norizan, Mohamad Hafizzudin Mazelan and Muhammad Shaifullah Ali and pitman Ahmad Kashfi Alwi (Ash).

‘Each member brings unique experiences and skills to ensure team Malaysia can compete at the highest level,’ the team added.

Rizal, meanwhile, also said that they are all excited and proud to be representing Malaysia at the meet.

‘We have carried out a thorough preparation and are determined to do our best in the competition,’ he said.

The 2024 Belt and Road International Regatta is one of the most prestigious sailing events in the region and has attracted 24 teams worldwide to compete in several course races and long distanc
e races.
