Super League: Perak-JDT Match Postponed Again

IPOH, The Super League match between Perak FC and Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), scheduled for tonight at the Perak Stadium here, has been postponed again.

The Malaysian Football League (MFL) announced that the match had to be postponed due to bad weather conditions and the water-logged pitch, adding that a new date would be announced later.

Earlier, the match, which was scheduled to kick off at 8.15 pm, had to be called off after Ipoh was hit by a downpour from 6 pm.

The continuous rain resulted in the Perak Stadium pitch becoming water-logged when both teams went out to warm up, forcing the kick-off time to be readjusted to 8.45 pm.

However, at 9.15 pm, match commissioner Teoh Hee Loon and match referee Razlan Joffri did not come out to inspect the pitch and, at 9.50 pm sharp, the MFL decided to call off the match.

The decision also sees Perak FC missing out on a chance to play at the Perak Stadium for one last time before it is closed for upgrading works. The Perak FC team will use the Manjung Municipal C
ouncil (MPM) Stadium as their home ground during that period.

The Perak-JDT match was initially supposed to be held on Aug 18 but it was postponed also due to rain.
