SK Abang Ali PIBG Gives Cash Aid To Kampung Hilir Fire Victims

SIBU, The Sekolah Kebangsaan Abang (SK) Ali Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) today presented cash aid to 10 families who were affected by the blaze in Kampung Hilir yesterday.

SK Abang Ali PIBG chairman Datuk Mohamad Yusnar Matalie said they contributed RM500 to each family to help ease their burden after losing their homes in the fire.

He said 13 pupils from the 10 families are students of the school. Built in 1890, it is the oldest primary school in Sibu.

“In addition, the pupils, who are also SK Abang Ali Cooperatives members, will also receive additional cash aid of RM200 each,’ he said, adding that the PIGB also contributed school uniforms, shoes and bags as well as stationery to the pupils.

He also called on the school’s ex-students nationwide to extend a helping hand to the students to help ease their burden and enable them to continue their school sessions as usual.
