RM20 Mln Allocation Will Spur Local E-Sports Development


PETALING JAYA, The allocation of RM20 million under the MADANI Budget 2025 is expected to spur the development of local e-sports holistically, including the construction of a specific stadium for e-sports.

Impact Integrated deputy chief executive officer Nurul Azwa Mohd Rodzi said fans have long been hoping for an e-sports stadium and they have been planning to develop such a stadium next year.

‘The e-sports community have been waiting for an e-stadium for so long, and with the funds allocated, we can create a complete e-sports centre, including a production room and accommodation for bootcamps.

‘The Budget injection does not only focus on infrastructure development but also on talent development through a TVET programme in e-sports, such as the development of various careers including hosts, coaches and marshals,’ she said when met at the 2024 Malaysia Esports League prize presentation ceremony here today.

leground (PUBG) Mobile while Kedah Alpha from Kedah won the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), while Twenty One from Melaka won the Free Fire competition and the eFootball24 Mobile challenge was won by Farish Luzman Muhammad Farid Sellekumar from Johor.

The PUBG Mobile, MLBB and Free Fire champions win a trophy and RM10,000 in cash, while the eFootball24 Mobile winner takes home a trophy and RM5,000 in cash.
