Riuh Bah! Marks Start Of Malaysia Day Celebrations

The two-day Kembara Riuh 2024, Riuh Bah! edition, set to begin tomorrow (Sept 14) at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), marks the start of the Malaysia Day celebrations and is expected to attract 35,000 visitors.

The MyCreative Ventures Group (MyCV), in a statement today, said that Riuh Bah!, organised by the Ministry of Communications through MyCV, will be held in collaboration with the Bandar Aktiviti Seni Kuala Lumpur (BASKL), and the public is invited to attend with free admission.

‘BASKL’s flagship project, Artscursion, offers visitors the chance to engage with local art and culture, through a series of specially curated activities, including ‘Bole Masak Bah Kalau Kau’, ‘Cookout Session’, and the ‘Bandar Seni’ City Tour and Art Jam, all led by local art activists.

The 7th edition of Riuh Bah! will also feature performances by Anuar Zain, Estranged, IamNeeta, and several Sabahan artists, alongside the participation of 70 vendors selling food and drinks.

MyCV noted that the four previou
s editions of Kembara Riuh 2024 have been highly successful, drawing 150,000 visitors and creating 1,708 job opportunities.

‘The event has also supported over 1,300 local creative industry players, and generated sales exceeding RM2 million for creative entrepreneurs. This initiative not only enhances the value of the industry but also promotes local products and contributes to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP),’ it added.
