PETALING JAYA: Putrajaya MP Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin and Beluran MP Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee have successfully retained their roles as vice-presidents of Bersatu for the 2024-2027 term.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Bersatu Election Committee (JPP) chairman, Datuk Seri Abdul Azim Mohd Zabidi, announced that another vice-president position was clinched by Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, who previously served as the party’s deputy president. The trio emerged victorious over other contenders, namely Selangor Bersatu deputy chief Mohd Rafiq Mohd Abdullah, Bersatu Information chief Datuk Razali Idris, and Batu Kawan Bersatu head Aziss Zainal Abiddin. Radzi Jidin received 11,690 votes, Ronald Kiandee secured 11,295 votes, and Ahmad Faizal garnered 9,278 votes, as revealed in a press conference held at the Bersatu headquarters.
In addition to the vice-presidential outcomes, Abdul Azim noted that 20 members were elected to the Bersatu Supreme Leadership Council (MPT) from a pool of 80 candidates. Noteworthy
names among the elected include Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah, Datuk Rosol Wahid, Datuk Seri Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz, Datuk Wan Saifulruddin Wan Jan, Wan Ahmad Fahysal Wan Ahmad Kamal, and Dr Afif Bahardin. Furthermore, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin were declared as Bersatu President and Deputy President, respectively, both positions won without opposition.
The election process saw Datuk Mohd Suhaimi Abdullah being elected as the Permanent Chairman of Bersatu, with Mohd Hanafiah Hamzah assuming the role of his deputy. Abdul Azim shared that a total of 169 divisions successfully convened and carried out elections and voting at the MPT level, with 74 divisions completing their elections and the remaining 95 divisions winning unopposed for all positions.
During the divisional conferences, the JPP received 31 complaints and objections, primarily concerning conference rules, election procedures, delegate legitimacy, ballot paper issuance, and vote counting procedures, among other issues

Following the press conference, Radzi Jidin expressed his gratitude for the continued mandate entrusted to him, emphasizing the significant responsibility it entails, particularly in collaborating with party colleagues to navigate future elections. He highlighted the importance of strengthening the party, ensuring its proximity to the people’s hearts, and maintaining a smooth and orderly election process.
