QUEST INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY FETES YAYASAN AMANAH AN-NUR MAISARAH RESIDENTS WITH IFTAR

IPOH, Quest International University (QIU) feted 70 residents of the Yayasan Amanah An-Nur Maisarah, Chemor, home for orphans and asnaf, with an iftar programme at a shopping centre here, last night.

QIU vice-chancellor, Prof Zita Mohd Fahmi, said that the programme, held for the second time, was aimed at showing concern towards the residents of Yayasan Amanah An-Nur Maisarah.

She said that the organisation of the programme was one of the university’s corporate social responsibilities (CSR), in collaboration with leading retail brand chain AEON Co (M) Bhd (AEON); Rythm Foundation and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Living Costs (KPDN), Perak branch.

‘Apart from breaking the fast, the residents also received duit raya from the university, and goodies from AEON.

‘By having such a programme, it is hoped that it will bring cheer to the residents ahead of the Aidilfitri celebration, as well as having a positive impact on their lives in the future,’ she told Bernama.

The event also featured a nasyid perfor
mance from the residents and a briefing on consumerism from the KPDN.
