Proton e.MAS 7 Open For Booking, Priced From RM120,000

SHAH ALAM, Proton’s first electric vehicle (EV), the e.MAS 7, is now open for booking and is expected to be priced from RM120,000.

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) chief executive officer Zhang Qiang said the promising growth of the local EV market, supported by the nation’s energy transition policy, signals an optimistic future for its models.

‘We definitely aim to be a leader in this market, but the key is to provide excellent service to our Malaysian customers and establish a comprehensive EV ecosystem,” he said.

“We are committed to developing our own ecosystem, including our application and charging map. This makes the Proton e.mas 7 stand out from other models,” he said when met by Bernama after the unveiling of the EV at the Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024 held at the Setia City Convention Centre here, today.

Zhang said from October 26 up to the grand launch, early birds can enjoy the Pioneer Privilege Deal that comes with a RM500 rebate and a Gift Pack worth RM1,000, providing exceptional v
alue to customers.

The event today also saw the launch of e.MAS App, which provides users with the simplicity to manage vehicle bookings, scheduling services and accessing Malaysia’s comprehensive EV charging network, which will be made available on a staggered basis.

Proton e.MAS 7 previously made its debut as part of the 2024 National Day parade, alongside its other models, reflecting Proton as the national carmaker’s evolution over its 41-year history.

Its front-mounted electric motor produces 160 kW and 320 Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometre per hour in 6.9 seconds.

The model is also enhanced with Aegis Short Blade Battery and comprehensive Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in ensuring safety and driving confidence to future owners.
