PPM To Undergo Rebranding Process To Remain Dynamic And Relevant


PUTRAJAYA, The Malaysian Scouts Federation (PPM) is in the process of refreshing the brand to ensure the organization remains dynamic, relevant and attractive.

PPM chief Major General Professor Datuk Dr Mohd Zin Bidin said the rebranding of the federation would offer a new image, fresh and remain relevant to the community.

‘This effort is also in line with the 10 main focuses of PPM including strengthening the training system, increasing financial sustainability, and strengthening infrastructure development, as well as expanding the network of cooperation and empowering high-impact programs,’ he said at the PPM Charity Dinner, here tonight.

Also present were the Minister of Education, Fadhlina Sidek and the Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat who was also a member of the National Scouting Council, Tan Sri Johari Abdul.

Mohd Zin said with the support of the community and related bodies, scouts will continue to play an important role in producing outstanding youth in academics as well as have great soft skills and
leadership.

He said to ensure that PPM continues to progress, various strategic initiatives have been launched including implementing interesting and challenging programs, strengthening governance and increasing global cooperation.

He said one of the main focus is to introduce elements of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) as well as sustainable development goals (SDG) in the scouting program, so that scouts are better prepared to face the modern world.

Mohd Zin said scouts also play an important role in supporting national development aspirations.

The dinner aims to raise funds to finance activities and management of PPM, in addition to being a platform to open space for the community and related bodies to get to know more deeply the mission, vision and role of scouts in developing the country’s young generation.
