Pos Malaysia Organises First Ever Pos Malaysia Run 2024

KUALA LUMPUR, National courier and postal service provider, Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) will be organising its first ever Pos Malaysia Run 2024 on Sept 29 at Padang Merbok, here.

Its Group Chief Marketing, Communication and Sustainability Officer Fiona Liao said the run, with the theme ‘Jom Laju For Fun!’, will not only celebrate Pos Malaysia’s heritage but also strengthen its commitment toward community building and healthy lifestyle.

‘After years of championing healthy lifestyles through partnerships in several major running and fitness events in Malaysia, we’re very excited to take the lead by organising our own premier run.

‘Today, we’re also excited to receive strong support from our sponsors and partners who share in our dream and mission to make the first ever Pos Malaysia Run a success,’ she said when introducing the event’s sponsors and partners today.

The sponsors include the event’s main partner, EON Berhad, as well as other companies, such as Bank Mualat, Cuckoo, Yinson Green Tech, All
ianz Malaysia Berhad, Reebook, Chek Hup, Milo, Pos Aviation, Nature Loop and Pos Shop.

EON Berhad chief executive officer (CEO) Akkbar Danial said that the company was proud to be the main partner for Pos Malaysia Run 2024 as it was in line with their commitment to promote a healthy lifestyle and environmental sustainability.

‘Partnering with Pos Malaysia for their inaugural run allows us to contribute to efforts that not only sustain community well-being but also emphasises on sustainability,’ he said.

There are three events for the run – Fun Run (6.2KM + Fun Zone), 10 kilometres (KM) and 15KM, with participation fees of RM75, RM80 and RM85 respectively, and runners will receive race packs worth up to RM140.

Registrations are open till Aug 29 at www.racexasia.com. Runners who complete the race will receive finisher medals made of plastic zip ties and recycled metal.

In line with a ‘green’ approach, Pos Malaysia will use running t-shirts made of 100 per cent recycled materials and Post Malaysia electric
bikes for marshal duties and operation support throughout the event.
