Polytechnic Student Wins Adobe Certified Professional World Championship 2024


PUTRAJAYA, Izzul Zafran Abd Razak, a student of Muadzam Shah Polytechnic, Pahang, has made Malaysia proud by winning first place in the Adobe Certified Professional World Championship 2024, held in California, the United States.

Izzul Zafran, a fifth semester diploma student studying graphic design, beat 47 other participants from 40 countries, winning a trophy, medal, US$8,000 (RM36,170) in cash, and a certificate with his poster entitled ‘Digital Skills for A Sustainable Future’ created using the Adobe Creative Cloud app in the contest that took place from July 28 to 31.

Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Mustapha Sakmud told Bernama when met that the ministry would provide a suitable token of appreciation to Izzul Zafran for his effort in bringing fame to the country.

“I think it’s a very good achievement academically and we will try to look for a way to allow him to share his experience to inspire other students.

‘I’ll discuss this with the Polytechnic and Community College Education Department a
nd we will announce the incentive to the student.

“We want this student to serve as a role model for other students so they can raise their own performance and make Malaysia proud, especially in the education field and in technical and vocational education and training (TVET),’ he said.

The annual competition is open to students aged 13 to 22 worldwide to prove their skills and capabilities in using the industry renowned Adobe Creative Cloud app to design posters.

The jury panel comprising of design industry experts, including The King’s Trust International, will review the students’ final projects and the winner is chosen based on visual attractiveness, their ability to fulfil customer needs and brand aesthetics as well as the professional use of the Adobe Creative Cloud app.
