Police seize P1.7-M shabu, arrest high-value suspect

DUMAGUETE CITY – The police seized PHP1.7 million worth of shabu and arrested a suspected drug pusher during a buy-bust in Barangay Candau-ay, this city, near midnight Monday.

Lt. Stephen Polinar, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO), said Tuesday that the 40-year-old male suspect, of Purok Iba, Barangay Palinpinon, Valencia town, is classified as a “high-value individual” on the police’s list.

He was arrested around 11:45 p.m. while allegedly selling shabu to an undercover agent at Purok Yellow Tops in Barangay Candau-ay.

Authorities confiscated approximately 250 grams of suspected shabu during the operation.

The suspect is currently detained as the police prepare to file charges.
