Police ops net almost P1-M drugs in Davao Region

DAVAO CITY: Authorities in the Davao Region seized nearly PHP1 million worth of illegal drugs in 24-hour operations, the Police Regional Office (PRO-11) reported Wednesday.

In a statement, PRO-11 said the nine drug-related operations -carried out between 5 a.m. of July 30 and 5 a.m. of July 31- resulted in the confiscation of PHP926,548 worth of illicit substances and the arrest of 11 individuals.

‘PRO-11 continues to strengthen efforts against illegal drugs in the Davao Region,’ the statement added.

PRO-11 also confiscated PHP330,370 worth of illegal drugs in six operations that led to the arrest of 10 individuals.

PRO-11 director, Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, said the accomplishment underscored their unwavering commitment to combatting the illegal drug trade and ensuring public safety.

‘We commend the operating units for their exemplary service and tireless efforts in enforcing the rule of law in the communities,’ he said.
