Pertama Digital Reassures Stakeholders It Remains Strong, Well-positioned

KUALA LUMPUR, Pertama Digital Bhd has reassured its stakeholders that the company remains strong and well-positioned for sustainable growth despite a recent dip in its stock prices.

In a statement today, Pertama Digital said that it is firmly anchored by strong financial fundamentals, supported by a capable team operating in a dynamic digital solutions space with significant growth potential.

‘In recent months, the company has successfully reversed its previous quarter’s negative results, with new product lines contributing significantly to performance.

‘Today, Pertama Digital is operating more efficiently and is well-positioned to deliver sustainable growth without the need for external funding,’ said executive director Sabri Ab Rahman.

Bursa Malaysia announced today that it had suspended Pertama Digital’s intraday short selling for the remainder of the day after the last traded price of its approved securities fell by more than 15 per cent or 15 sen from the reference price.

Separately, Pertama Digital
received an extension of time from Bursa Malaysia to submit its regularisation plan by the first week of February 2025.

‘This extension allows Pertama Digital to finalise several key initiatives, including the proposed acquisition of a controlling stake in Kridentia Tech Sdn Bhd,’ it said.

Sabri said the company expects to submit the full plan before the end of this year, well ahead of the extended deadline.

He highlighted that Kridentia Tech’s proven track record and capabilities align well with Pertama Digital’s vision, and both companies are eager to finalise the deal as part of Pertama Digital’s broader regularisation strategy.

Pertama Digital also said that it is rapidly advancing its digital products suite, including eJamin, PTPTN Student Loan Services, and MyDigital ID.

‘As the company navigates this transformative period, it is committed to delivering long-term value for shareholders and the broader ecosystem,’ it said.
