ARAU, Feb 17 — The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail today launched the Halal Ria Islamic Membership, Advertising & Business Portal developed by the Yayasan Keusahawan Sosial (YKS).
He said Halal Ria Portal is a one-stop e-commerce platform that facilitates small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in business registration, business matching, discount offers as well as local, regional and international advertising channels.
“The contribution of SMEs to the state economy is vital. I hope the digital economic process among traders can be strengthened,” he said when launching the portal in conjunction with the 2022 Malaysia Halal Marketplace at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) here.
He said the portal also aims to create a more business and entrepreneur-friendly environment to increase the competitiveness of the industry and drive economic growth.
“I hope SME entrepreneurs will take advantage of this opportunity and register with the Halal Ria Portal to develop their businesses,” he said.
Meanwhile, YKS director Amirul Shakirin Amar said the portal also provides halal online marketplace for sellers and buyers in Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern countries.
“We can also promote halal products and services to Muslim and non-Muslim consumers,” he said.
