Perak cops probe alleged dangerous car stunt by kids in viral video

IPOH, March 24 (Bernama) — Police are investigating a video featuring three children sticking their heads out of a window of a moving car in Jalan Tambun, which went viral on social media today.

Perak police chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said police detected the one-minute and two-second video on Facebook, and a police report was lodged over the incident.

“However, the actual date and time of the incident have yet to be ascertained. The video that went viral caught the attention of netizens, ” he said in a statement today.

He said police are now tracing the individuals involved in the case and those with information should contact senior investigation officer, ACP Yap Siew Cheng, at 012-9093362.

The case is being investigated under Section 336 of the Penal Code for committing an act which could endanger the personal safety or that of others; and Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 for mistreatment, neglect, abandonment, or exposing the child to circumstances that may cause physical injury.
