PAF plane carrying rescue personnel, equipment arrives in Albay

In an interview, Office of Civil Defense (OCD)-5 (Bicol) Director Claudio Yucot said the rescue teams from the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) and cargoes were sent by Ako Bicol Party List Representative and Committee on Appropriations chair Elizaldy Co, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

The equipment include 20 rubber boats and 20 outboard motors that will be distributed to disaster response units and local government units (LGUs) in Camarines Sur and Albay.

‘The rubber boats, relief goods, and rescue teams are really needed to provide assistance to the affected families. For now, we continue to rescue individuals since some towns in Camarines Sur are still f

‘The 20 rubber boats will be delivered to the 9th Infantry Division (9ID) of the Philippine Army in Pili, Camarines Sur, and will be used immediately,’ Yucot added.

He said three units would be for the 49th Infantry Batallion; two for the Philippine National Police Maritime Group; three for the Naval Forces Southern Luzon; three for the Philippine Coast Guard, and nine for the LGUs of Canaman, Camaligan, Naga City, Milaor, Gainza, Bula, Nabua, and Bato in Camarines Sur and Oas town in Albay.
