P3.4-M ‘shabu’ seized from CAFGU militiaman in Lanao Sur


Authorities arrested an active member of the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) and seized PHP3.4 million worth of shabu during an entrapment operation in Tamparan, Lanao del Sur, on Tuesday afternoon.

Director Gil Cesario Castro of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) identified the suspect as Alonto Pampa, a resident of Lunbayanague town in Lanao del Sur.

“The suspect is now in the PDEA-BARMM detention facility while awaiting inquest proceedings for illegal drug peddling charges,” Castro said in a statement on Wednesday.

He added that Pampa had been involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in Lanao del Sur and nearby provinces.

During the operation, authorities confiscated approximately 500 grams of shabu, the buy-bust money, a .45-caliber pistol with ammunition, and various identification cards from the suspect.

rug suspects and seized PHP13.6 million worth of shabu. The suspects, identified as Lala Jamih Halisan, 28, and Alwinir Kabran, 20, both from Luuk town, were apprehended as they were about to board a small vessel in Barangay Tandu.
