Overseas Vietnamese raise nearly 19.3 billion VND for Typhoon Yagi victims


The Vietnamese community abroad has raised nearly 19.3 billion VND (over 784,000 USD) to support people suffering damage due to Typhoon Yagi and consequent flooding in the home country during just one week after launching a donation campaign. The sum was handed over by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, who is also Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (OV) Affairs, to the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee in Hanoi on September 20.
