Over 60 Leading Companies Gather At UTP’s Career Fair

KUALA LUMPUR, Organised entirely by students, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP)’s annual Technology, Education and Career (TEC) 2024 fair, gathered over 60 leading companies from diverse industries.

UTP in a statement noted that the fair, held at the university in Seri Iskandar, Perak from Oct 2 till today, features prominent industry players such as PETRONAS, ExxonMobil, SLB, Deloitte and Huawei, providing a space for future graduates to showcase their skills and connect directly with potential employers.

Themed ‘Unveiling Hidden Talents’, TEC2024 offers students and professionals a unique platform to explore career paths, seek advice, network with potential employers while gaining valuable insights on the job market.

“TEC24 further equipped students with essential career skills through free services such as resume clinics, mock interview sessions, and a LinkedIn clinic.

“The event provides an invaluable platform for students to connect with industry leaders and explore their career aspirations. With t
he support of over 60 leading companies and the guidance of industry experts, attendees gained valuable insights and practical skills to prepare for their professional journeys,” the statement reads.

Adding that, the fair allows attendees to learn about their potential opportunities through insightful talks, discussions and workshops designed to help them define future career paths.

The fair which was officiated by Deputy Minister of Higher Education Datuk Mustapha Sakmud, was also attended by Higher Education director-general Datuk Professor Dr Azlinda Azman along with UTP vice-chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib.

‘TEC24 reaffirms UTP’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded global talent, fostering collaborations between industry and academia, and enhancing academic and professional opportunities for students,’ according to the statement.
