Nur Adriana Sofea Rewarded RM7,000 By NS Cycling Association


SEREMBAN, Negeri Sembilan female BMX cyclist, Nur Adriana Sofea Abdul Hakim who won a gold medal at the Sarawak Malaysia Games (SUKMA) receiving an incentive of RM7,000 from the Negeri Sembilan Cycling Association.

Negeri Sembilan Cycling Association president, Khairy Jamaluddin said the incentive was in recognition of the athlete’s tireless efforts in uplifting the name of the state.

According to him, the incentive is expected to provide motivation and boost the spirit of other cycling athletes to continue working harder to create more success.

“Malaysia has a good history in cycling at the Olympic level, the country’s cycling contributes medals at the most prestigious sports games in the world.

“The performance of cycling sports in the state can still be improved from time to time and we are committed to carrying out the Negeri Sembilan tour race every year to polish existing talent and unearth new ones,” he said here today.

Nur Adriana Sofea when contacted expressed her gratitude for the gift and des
cribed it as a special gift for her in the cycling arena since she was 10 years old.

The 18-year-old athlete who will continue her studies at Kolej Poly Tech Mara (KPTM) Ipoh majoring in Digital Business in November, said the incentive will be saved for future use.

She also made the ‘Pocket Rocketman’ Datuk Azizulhasni Awang and the Colombian cycling athlete, Mariana Pajon, as her idols and hopes to excel in the future in her cycling career.

Nur Adriana Sofea said she will try to defend the gold medal at SUKMA 2026 and hopes to have the opportunity to compete at the 2027 SEA Games.
