Number of daily COVID cases in Sarawak rises above 200

KUCHING, Feb 10 — New COVID-19 cases in Sarawak continue to increase, with 226 cases reported today, compared to 184 yesterday.

The Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) in a statement today informed that the latest development brought the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the state to 253,626.

“Of the total positive cases today, only four cases involve lung infections and require oxygen while the remaining 222 have no symptoms and have mild symptoms.

“Among the areas that recorded the highest number of cases today is Miri with 75 cases, followed by Kuching (72) and Sibu (31),” read the statement.
