NPA member facing murder case nabbed in Masbate


A New People’s Army (NPA) rebel wanted for attempted murder was arrested in Masbate province on Thursday, the Police Regional Office-Bicol (PRO-5) reported on Friday.

Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, PRO-5 spokesperson, said “Nathan,” a member of the Special Partisan Unit, was nabbed in his house in Cawayan town after being served a warrant.

The recommended bail was PHP120,000.

Calubaquib said the rebel is under the command of Reynaldo Mollejon of Platoon 1, Kilusang Larangang Gerilya South, Sub-Regional Committee 4.

The operation was conducted by the police and the 9th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army.

Calubaquib said the rebel is now in the custody of the Cawayan Municipal Police Station.
