New KSN To Be Announced Later Today – Fahmi

PUTRAJAYA, The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) will issue a statement later today on the appointment of the new Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) to replace Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, who is also the government’s spokesperson, said the Cabinet, in its meeting chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today, also expressed appreciation to Mohd Zuki for his high level of professionalism and commitment shown throughout his service as KSN.

‘Insya-Allah, the PMO will issue a statement on his (Mohd Zuki) replacement later today,’ he told a press conference here.

Fahmi said today’s Cabinet meeting was Mohd Zuki’s last duty as the Government Secretary.

Mohd Zuki, 62, has been serving as the KSN since Dec 31, 2019. He was expected to retire on Aug 10, 2022, but was given a two-year contract extension from Aug 11, 2022, to Aug 10, 2024.
