New Bridge Project In Kampung Renok To Solve Flood Woes

GUA MUSANG, The construction of a new bridge at Batu 6, Kampung Renok here, which is expected to be completed by August 2026, aims at solving the problem of frequent flooding in the area and improving the socio-economic conditions for 200 local residents.

Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the new bridge would also facilitate the transportation of agricultural produce from the residents to marketing or business centres.

“This RM9.3 million project is being conducted through an open tender and is under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW),’ he told reporters after attending a briefing on the construction project here today.

Ahmad said the scope of the project included soil treatment, construction of drainage systems, utility relocation, installation of street lighting, and environmental conservation work.
