NAFAS Unveils New Marinade Products At MAHA 2024

SERDANG, The National Farmers’ Organisation (NAFAS) has introduced four new marinade products under its Peladang brand at the 100th Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2024.

NAFAS’s Marketing and Promotion Division manager Syahrul Musa said the new offerings include marinated mutton, marinated chicken, harimau menangis beef and marinated tenderloin.

‘These products are being introduced to the public for the first time and are expected to hit the market in October at 26 Petronas stations.

‘These products come under the Peladang brand, known for its halal and quality standards, aligning with Malaysia’s reputation as a global halal hub,’ he said.

Priced at RM38 per pack or RM100 for three, the products are being offered at a special ‘happy hour’ price of RM35 on weekends during the exhibition.

Additionally, NAFAS is offering whole chickens, weighing around 1.2 kilogrammes, and cut chicken portions of 700 grammes for RM8, and RM6 during ‘happy hour’.

‘Our target is to sell
2,000 packs of the new marinade products throughout MAHA, alongside 5,000 packs of whole and cut chickens, given the high number of visitors,’ Syahrul said, adding that Peladang products are likely to draw attention at MAHA due to their affordability and essential nature.

He said NAFAS is also working to expand the export market for Peladang products, with items such as amplang and tebaloi already making their way into Japan.

MAHA 2024 is being held over 12 days from Sept 11 to 22 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).
