KUALA LUMPUR, Nearly 300 secondary school students from across Selangor took part in the MNRB Ringgit Savvy Programme, held as part of Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM) 2024 at Setia Alam, Selangor.
MNRB Holdings Berhad (MNRB), in a statement today, said that the financial literacy programme is part of its efforts to support MSAM’s objective of educating the public on investment and financial planning.
‘The MNRB Ringgit Savvy Programme aims to provide students with early exposure to financial management, such as investment, takaful protection, and financial responsibilities, thereby fostering an interest in smart money management.
‘The MNRB Ringgit Savvy Programme features an interactive game, known as MNRB Ringgit Journey, which simulates real-life financial management challenges for students. The game features questions designed to assess students’ decision-making skills in money management and promotes teamwork,’ said the statement.

ngah Tengku Ampuan Jemaah were announced as champions of the interactive game, which incorporated the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) theme.
According to the statement, the same programme was recently held at SMK Ungku Aziz in Sabak Bernam as a pre-MSAM event, with nearly 200 students taking part in the MNRB Ringgit Journey game.
MNRB also donated a Smart TV to the lecture hall at SMK Ungku Aziz to enhance students’ learning experience. The donation was presented by Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad president and chief executive officer Datuk Rudy Rodzila Che Lamin on behalf of MNRB Group.
In conjunction with MSAM 2024, MNRB also organised the MNRB Smart Savings Programme at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Puchong Utama 3, aimed at fostering a savings culture among primary school students.
‘To liven up the event at SK Puchong Utama 3, the programme also featured a performance by Didi and Friends and a STEM carnival,’ said the the statement.
