Ministry To Provide Support, Counselling To Nuraina Humaira’s Family – Nancy

KUCHING, Counselling services will be provided to the family of the late Nuraina Humaira Rosli, an Orang Asli child with disabilities who is believed to have been murdered in Kampung Bersah, Pos Kuala Mu, Perak.

Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said the ministry can only provide this form of support to the victim’s family at this time, as the investigation into the case is still ongoing.

‘Regarding counselling for the affected family, it is common practice to give them time to find peace before approaching them, so as not to overwhelm them with external interactions.

‘This approach is in line with standard procedures, which emphasise giving the family space to process the incident before introducing additional support measures,’ she told reporters here today.

Nuraina Humaira, 10, who had hearing issues, was reported missing on Aug 16, and her body was found in a swampy area in the Orang Asli settlement of Kampung Bersah the next day.

Following that, a 17-year-old
male teenager was arrested on Aug 18 and remanded for seven days to facilitate further investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
