MIBS 2024 Targets Transactions Worth RM10 Mln, 25 MoUs To Be Signed


The 19th Malaysia International Branding Showcase (MIBS) 2024 targets to achieve RM10 million in transaction value, while fostering significant international business collaborations.

At the same time, 25 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are also expected to be signed between local business and international companies during the three-day event, to be held on Nov 28-30, 2024, said Dr Norli @ Norlaili Alias, the president of Persatuan Usahawan Wawasan Wanita Malaysia (WAWASANITA), co-organiser of MIBS 2024.

She said the target is premised on the participation of companies from 14 provinces from China, offering local entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to showcase their products and forge partnerships with global players. ‘WAWASANITA sees MIBS 2024 as a milestone event, with a target of RM10 million in transactions through either original equipment manufacturers or joint ventures,’ Norli said at a press conference today.

She added that event provides an excellent platform for Malaysian entrepreneurs to explo
re global opportunities, expand their markets, and leverage the latest technologies from China for product rebranding or repackaging.

The list of participants will also include local companies under Majlis Amanah Rakyat’s (MARA) Gate to Global Programme.

To be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, MIBS 2024 will mark the 19th edition of the event which is set to showcase a diverse range of exhibitors and regions.

Meanwhile, MIBS 2024 event management company, ES International Event Management Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Chong Chong Tik said highlights of this year’s MIBS include the debut of the Malaysia Import and Export Commodity Fair 2024.

He added that the expo will be divided into four categories, namely the Malaysia International Garment and Fabrics Expo; the Malaysia International Smart Commodity Fair; the Malaysia International Traditional and Complimentary Health Food Products Expo and the Malaysia International Food and Beverage Expo.
