Melaka AKM Tour to feature Kenduri Rakyat concept

MELAKA, Oct 10 (Bernama) — The concept of kenduri rakyat or people’s feast will enliven the ‘Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia’ (AKM) or Malaysian Family Aspiration Tour which will be held for three days starting on Oct 14 at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC).

National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) director-general Abdul Shukur Abdullah said the organisation of the people’s feast is in line with the concept of love brought by Keluarga Malaysia.

“Apart from wanting to promote the diversity of the menu and healthy dishes, we also want to restore the values of love and harmony in the context of the Keluarga Malaysia through this ‘kenduri’ (feast),” he said when appearing as a guest on the Selamat Pagi Malaysia, a programme produced by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) this morning.

He said various interactive activities and programmes have been lined-up throughout the three days of the tour, such as dialogue sessions as well as services from various related agencies.

Among them are ministries and agencies’ booths to provide direct services to the people, the Jamin Kerja Keluarga Malaysia Career Carnival and Jualan Keluarga Malaysia.

“Visitors, especially women, should not miss the opportunity to obtain information related to the anti-sexual harassment act and parenting,” he said.
