MARIC Launches Malaysia’s First-ever Rail Industry Directory In Berlin

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia Rail Industry Corporation (MARIC) launched the first-ever Malaysia Rail Industry Directory on Tuesday during the opening of InnoTrans 2024 in Berlin, Germany.

Malaysian Ambassador to Germany, Datin Paduka Dr Adina Kamarudin, officially launched the rail directory during the InnoTrans Exhibition, the leading international trade fair for transport technology, occurring biannually in Berlin.

During the launching, MARIC members also hosted Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremonies with international partners such as Siemens Mobility, Hyundai Rotem South Korea, Huawei, Downer Australia, Robel Germany, and PT Len Indonesia.

MARIC president Datuk Dr Mohd Yusoff Sulaiman said in a statement that the company plays a crucial and integral part in the whole ecosystem, providing the Malaysian government with the best advice and input.

“We will now work very hard to provide the government with strategic inputs to make the railway industry in Malaysia better. We are happy to see some of our friends from different countries, with whom we have had partnerships for a long time, here to see that we are developing.

“We are serious about getting work things done by collaborating and being part of your supply chain and partners,” he said.

MARIC was established as an incorporated association on April 17, 2017, and entrusted with the mission to contribute to Malaysian railway systems engineering development with members who have been the key industry players in rail-based projects for the past 30 years.

Its membership has increased significantly over the years, and its members are engaged in various rail system engineering works, such as construction, rehabilitation, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and public-private partnerships (PPP), both locally and internationally.
