Malaysian Products From Greencontrols Gain Global Recognition At WSC 2024

LYON (Perancis), Sept Sept (Bernama) — GreenControls Technology’s products have gained global recognition after being used in the WorldSkills Competition (WSC 2024), which runs from today until Sept 15.

GreenControls Technology chief executive officer Peng Wah Siew, when met by Bernama, said that it was the first time local products had been showcased in the Electric Installation skill category at the international competition.

‘This is the first time that GreenControls products, made in Malaysia, have been featured at WorldSkills International. We are proud to be the sole sponsor in Europe,’ he said.

Peng described the sponsorship opportunity for Malaysian products as a major milestone for both his company and Malaysia, as Europe is home to many leading electrical manufacturers.

‘We have made several attempts in the past to participate in WorldSkills competitions, especially in Europe,’ he said, adding that the company had previously sponsored ASEAN and local editions of the event.

The GreenControls K
NX Power Supply and Regular Switching Actuator are among the notable products developed by the company.

At the WSC 2024, Malaysia is represented by 15 skilled youth comprising students from public skills training institutions and higher education institutions nationwide across the country.

Malaysia is competing in 14 of the 62 skill areas at WSC 2024, including Robot System Integration, Information Technology Software Solutions for Business, Heavy Vehicle Technology, and Digital Construction, with a target of winning at least three medals.
