Malaysian Govt leads In BPAM 3Q 2024 Bond League Tables With RM55.68 Bln Issuance


KUALA LUMPUR, The Malaysian government has been named the overall top bond issuer in Bond Pricing Agency Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s (BPAM) Bond League Tables reports for the third quarter (3Q) of 2024, with a total issuance of RM55.68 billion.

The government also issued the top-traded bond overall for the quarter under review at RM312.60 billion, BPAM said in a statement.

In the corporate sector, Saracap Ventures Sdn Bhd emerged as the top corporate bond issuer with RM1.85 billion issued during the quarter, while Cagamas Bhd issued the top traded corporate bond (RM0.52 billion).

CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd was the top sukuk issuer with RM4.2 billion in 3Q, while DanaInfra Nasional Bhd issued the top traded sukuk worth RM7.49 billion.

Malaysian Trustees Bhd was the top bond trustee overall valued at RM25.98 billion, and Pacific Trustees Bhd led by the number of issuances, with 142 issues for the quarter under review. Malaysian Trustees also secured the top conventional bond trustee by value (RM7.31 billion) and the top
sukuk trustee by value (RM18.67 billion).

‘These quarterly reports provide insights into the performance of Malaysia’s bond market and highlight the rankings of key market players,’ BPAM said.

BPAM is the only registered bond pricing agency accredited by the Securities Commission of Malaysia.
