MABA PAYS TRIBUTE TO FORMER PRESIDENT, PROPERTY TYCOON CHAN


KUALA LUMPUR, The Malaysian Basketball Association (MABA) paid tribute to its former president, Tan Sri Chan Ah Chye, who passed away, yesterday at the age of 78.

In a statement, MABA described Chan as a visionary leader whose significant contributions helped shape the future of Malaysian basketball and inspired countless players and enthusiasts.

‘His leadership and dedication to the sport have left an indelible mark on the basketball community in Malaysia.

‘Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him and in the sport he loved so dearly,’ MABA stated.

MABA president Datuk Seri Lee Tian Hock had visited Chan in February last year to pay his respects and to update him on the latest happenings and future plans of MABA.

According to media reports, Talam Transform Bhd (formerly Talam Corp Bhd) announced the property tycoon’s passing in a filing to Bursa Malaysia..

Chan was the founder
and the single largest shareholder of Talam Transform Bhd.
