LRT-1 operations limited Friday

Manila: LRT-1 operations remain limited Friday morning from Central Terminal in Manila to Fernando Poe Jr. in Quezon City only and vice versa, the train operator announced.

The Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC) said its team is still working on the removal of a fallen tree between Libertad and EDSA stations in Pasay City and assessing its impact on catenary facilities.

“A thorough inspection of all LRT-1 stations and tracks is also being conducted to ensure the safety of everyone,” the LRMC said.

LRT-1’s operations were cut short Thursday after a tree fell onto the carriageway and catenary facilities, affecting the power situation in the area.
