LPG prices up for 3rd straight month

MANILA: Consumers were greeted with higher prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in September.

In separate advisories, Petron and Solane-branded LPG products increased prices by PHP0.55 per kilogram starting Sunday.

‘This reflects the international contract price of LPG for the month of September,’ Petron said.

The adjustment translated to a PHP6.05 increase for a regular 11-kilogram household LPG tank.

Auto LPG prices also went up by PHP0.25 per liter.

This is the third consecutive month that companies implemented increments in LPG prices.

Data from the Department of Energy showed that an 11-kilogram cylinder LPG in Metro Manila before the new price hike ranged from PHP840 to PHP1,087, while the common price of auto LPG stood at PHP40.85 per liter.
