The provincial government of La Union has provided PHP210,000 worth of food packs and non-food items to evacuees affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami).
As of 5 p.m. on Thursday, the relief supplies were distributed to 467 families, or 1,398 individuals, from the towns of Luna, Bangar, Balaoan, Rosario, Burgos, Aringay, and Caba, and San Fernando City who are staying in 29 evacuation centers.
The La Union Provincial Information Office told the Philippine News Agency that the food items included six kilos of rice, eight canned goods, and six pieces of instant coffee while non-food items included toothbrush, soap, laundry powder, shampoo, and towels.
Meanwhile, it said 11 damaged houses have been reported in the province.
Of the total, reported were a partially damaged house in Luna, eight partially damaged houses in Balaon, and two totally damaged houses in Rosario, affected by strong winds and fallen trees.

Also, 38 villages in the City of San Fernando, and municipalities of Bacnotan, Bangar, Agoo and Aringay experienced power interruption.
