King, Queen convey condolences to family of former Rembia assemblywoman

KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 (Bernama) — The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah have expressed their condolences to the family of former Rembia state assemblywoman Datuk Norpipah Abdol who passed away today.

In an Istana Negara Facebook post, the royal couple expressed their sadness with the passing of Norpipah and hoped her family would be patient and strong in facing this trial and moment of grief.

“Their Majesties prayed for her soul to be blessed by Allah SWT and be placed among the righteous.

“Their Majesties appreciate and praise highly her service, deeds and sacrifices for the people and the state of Melaka,” according to the post.

Norpipah, 68, served as the assemblywoman for the Rembia state constituency for three terms from 2008 to 2018 and the Melaka state Women’s Affairs and Health Committee chairman.
