Kien Giang presses ahead with search for Vietnamese volunteer soldiers’ remains in Cambodia


A delegation from the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang has been set to sign pacts with the four Cambodian provinces of Koh Kong, PreahSihanouk, Kampot, and Kep on cooperation in the search for and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodian during wartime. With the signing ceremonies taking place between September 15 and 19, the sides’ upcoming joint activities, resulting from an agreement signed between the two governments on August 28, 2000, on the search, collection and repatriation of the remains, will implement the mission in the 2024-2025 dry season.
