Kelantan Warriors Combine Experienced, New Players For STL 2024 Competition


KOTA BHARU, The Sepak Takraw Association of Kelantan (Gastak) is combining experienced and new players for the Kelantan Warriors team as they aim to step into the Premier League of the Sepak Takraw League (STL) this year.

Gastak president Datuk Abdul Fattah Mahmood said the combination is hoped will showcase quality performances for the fans of the state.

He said that Gastak has established collaborations with several parties who have agreed to sponsor the team this year.

“STL is entering its tenth year, and this year, the Division 1 competition will be held from Aug 26 to 30, 2024, at Dewan MBMB Bukit Serindik, Melaka.

“The Kelantan Warriors will be competing in the Division 1 league in this edition,” he said.at a media conference to introducing the players and sponsors for the Kelantan Warriors Sepak Takraw STL 2024 team, which was attended by the state Youth, Sports, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), and Community Unity Committee chairman, Zamakhsari Muhamad.

He added that the team aim to finish
among the top two in the Divsion 1 league so that they can automatically qualify for the Premier League which will also be held this year.

The lineup of players introduced for the Kelantan Warriors in STL 2024 includes Muhammad Fakhrul Akmal Mohd Nakoin (tekong), Siwakorn Thanaka (server), Mohd Haikal Mohamad Jamil, Rusdee Leerem (imported from Thailand), Muhamad Adli Abu Bakar, Ahmad Badrie Amin Azmi, and Muhammad Amirul Amir Mohd Alwi (tekongr), under the leadership of Head Coach Rukman Mustafa.
