Kelantan APM Ready To Face Northeast Monsoon

BACHOK, The Kelantan Civil Defence Force (APM) is ready to deploy 104 assets, including 60 various types of boats, four-wheel drive vehicles, and lorries, along with 920 personnel, to face any potential situations during the Northeast Monsoon (MTL).

Its director Col (PA) Mohd Adzhar Mujab said that in terms of asset allocation, each district has currently been assigned approximately four to five boats.

However, the number of assets will be increased depending on the severity of floods in the affected areas, he said.

“This year, we have carried out the MTL preparedness training earlier than last year, as we aim to enhance the readiness of our personnel through the training. This also ensures that all available assets are in good condition,’ he told reporters after closing the MTL Preparedness Training at Pantai Irama Bachok here today.

A total of 93 registered volunteer personnel from the districts of Bachok, Kota Bharu, Tumpat, and Pasir Puteh participated in the training, which was held over three days,
starting Tuesday.
