Kedah AKM Tour: Free shuttle bus service from two locations

ALOR SETAR, Aug 31 (Bernama) — Mara Liner will provide a free shuttle bus service to facilitate public visits to the Kedah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family Aspiration) (AKM) tour programme to be held at Darul Aman Stadium from Sept 2 to 4.

Rural Development Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said the shuttle bus service would be available from two locations, Shahab Perdana bus station and Pekan Rabu, hourly between 9 am and 9 pm.

The service would help ease traffic congestion, as well as save time for visitors searching for parking spots, he said in a statement today.

For the record, the ministry pioneered the AKM Tour programme and for the Kedah chapter, it has lined up various interesting events for visitors, such as the Village Entrepreneurs Pavilion for the producers to market their products and an RBC bistro for visitors to enjoy the local food and drinks.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to buy chicken and a five-kilogramme bag of rice for only RM10, while the Karnival Jamin Kerjaya Keluarga Malaysia will offer over 1,000 jobs at the AKM Tour.
