JoyRide gets green light for pilot run in Ilocos Norte

JoyRide, a motorcycle taxi and delivery service provider, has received the green light for its monthlong pilot run in Ilocos Norte starting next week. Provincial Board member Elmer Faylogna, chairperson of the Committee on Transportation, confirmed the approval in a media interview Monday. He said the JoyRide mobile app was presented during the Sangguniang Panlalawigan session on Oct. 12 for pilot testing here and in nearby towns. ‘Prior to the pilot testing, the drivers will have to undergo training first particularly in ensuring public safety,” Faylogna said. The company also partnered with Malayan Insurance Co. Inc. to provide insurance coverage for both the riders and their clients.
