Themed ‘Mana Lagi, Melaka Ler!’, the event will be held on Oct 5 and 6. It is organised by the Melaka state government in collaboration with the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) in conjunction with the Visit Melaka Year 2024 (TMM2024).
Bernama Chief Executive Officer Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin said the Melaka Explorace is divided into three categories: Open, Media and Melaka State Government Agencies/BERNAMA. Each team must consist of two to four participants.
‘The registration fee for the Open Category is RM200 per team, RM100 per team for the Media Category and RM100 per team for the Melaka State Government Agencies/BERNAMA Category.
‘Each team is also required to purchase TMM2024 souvenirs. This gives each team a chance to win prizes in a lucky draw held as part of TMM2024,’ she said.
The lucky draw prizes include a car and motorcycles.

e said the competition will take participants on a journey to explore the beauty and cultural uniqueness of Melaka across the three districts of Melaka Tengah, Alor Gajah and Jasin. Activities will include ‘treasure hunts’ on foot, by vehicle, and also by trishaw and boat (river cruise).
‘Participants will also need to upload selected interesting photos and videos on social media throughout the Explorace as added value for them to win the competition,’ she said.
Nur-ul Afida said attractive cash prizes await the winners.
Participants will also have the chance to win prizes through a traditional costume contest that reflects the diversity of Melaka’s community, she added.
The prize-giving ceremony will be held on Oct 6. Registration for the Melaka Explorace 2024 is open until Sept 20.
