Jakim will liaise with MCMC on Hijrah Diri app issue – Idris Ahmad

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Idris Ahmad has directed the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) to liaise with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for clarification and further action on the ‘Hijrah Diri’ application, which has been removed from Google Play.

He said it was very unfortunate when an application to help people return to their nature was denied by certain groups.

“There are many other applications that lead to immorality which increasingly damaging the souls of Muslims and young people.

“This is our big challenge, and let’s face it together!,” he said in a Facebook posting tonight.

The Hijrah Diri application was developed by Jakim to invite the LGBTQ people to return to the right path.
