IPPTAR Organises International AI Workshop In Conjunction With AMS

KUALA LUMPUR, A Pre-Conference Workshop, themed “AI in Television Broadcast and Production”, attracted the participation of 50 representatives in the media and broadcast industry from more than 15 countries.

The five-day workshop, which began today and is organised by the Tun Abdul Razak Broadcasting and Information Institute (IPPTAR), as a strategic partner of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Development Institute (AIBD), was held in conjunction with the 19th Asia Media Summit (AMS).

IPPTAR director Roslan Ariffin said in the era of rapid digital transformation, technological advances such as artificial intelligence (AI) have paved the way for significant changes in the broadcasting industry.

“Aware of this importance, IPPTAR took the initiative to organise the workshop as a platform to exchange information, knowledge, and expertise to integrate AI in broadcasting and television production,’ he said in his speech when opening the workshop today.

The workshop was among seven pre-conference workshops held si
multaneously for two days at IPPTAR in conjunction with the AMS.

Roslan said the AMS summit will be opened by Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil on Sept 3 at Brickfields Asia College (BAC), Petaling Jaya.

He said AMS is an international media conference involving the participation of broadcasters, local and international media, industry professionals, academics and stakeholders from within and outside the country.
